🗨I wanted to go to the Art Institute,
but my mother didn't let me...

so I ended up getting art classes while attending
at the public college & public university.

🗨It's a good thing I didn't go to the Institute though,
I been told about the financial abuse
that occurred from the company

🗣"Who taught you how to do art/draw?"

🗨Nobody : P

🗨However, the art classes I took
(which 98% of the assignments were morbidly boring)
and reading 'how to draw' books helped me
improve & enhance my skills & techniques^^

🗨Also, continuing doing art/drawings {both academic & personal}
helps me get better (I hope you doing that helps you too♡).

🗣"When did you started to do art/draw?"

🗨As far as I can remember, when I was a toddler,
I was in a lobby-- I had a cheap notebook & a cheap office pen in my hands.

🗨I remember doodling a dog, a cat, and a house with a personality.
I also remember my mother drawing what I was drawing at that time ^^

🗨I remember seeing a cartoon train passing in front of me
(a Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Psychologist said that I was very creative).

🗨My Autistic brother also played a vital role for my main creativity.
While being raised with him, he would reply, talk about, fun and catchy
scenes from films & cartoons.

🗨E.g. he would rewind the scene of Simba & Scar battling
from Disney's The Lion King (1993) over & over.

🗨he would also reply the scene of Popeye (Robin Williams)
fighting and beating the octopus then dancing & singing
in the end of the film.

🗨One of my main goals was to be a director
for featured animated films at Disney..
But as a traditional Disney fan,
I am heartbroken that Disney gotten dark :' (

🗨But it doesn't mean I should stop,
I can be hired for projects as a freelance artist/director,
and I might be hired to direct a wholesome
& traditional Disney film someday

🗨I usually draw anime-like characters.

🗨Some of the other types of artworks I've had done
were cartoon/comic drawings & surrealism.

🗣"How did you get into/know anime?"

🗨While I was in México, when I was little,
Dragon Ball came up on TV.
It would bring me joy when the opening comes up in the next time.

🗨I remember my older brother brought
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64 in the 90s.
When I look at the characters in the instruction manual,

🗨I noticed that the art genre is like that of Dragon Ball.
I was questioning about what is the genre called.

🗨I remember watching the Pokemon promo on VHS
when it first came out, and watching my older brothers
& cousins playing Pokemon Stadium & Snap on the 64.

🗨I would watch the Pokemon show on
VHS and regularly on the TV Channel
in the late 90s & early 2000s.

🗨YES!!
I was professionally diagnosed in 2017.

🗨I know this is an art website,
but I met other artists with autism on this site
(and physically^^).

🗨I believe autism has been part of a
contribution of my (& others'♡) creativity.

🗨I mostly use mechanical pencil
and usually use varied brands of
colored pencils, ink, & alcohol markers.

🗨Some of them includes
Crayola colored pencils, Pigma Micron pens,
Prismacolor pencils, Master's Touch markers.

🗨I would use the Sakura White gel pen also🌸

🗨I also love using digital art programs.
I hope I can get feasible access to it in the future.
